Get Ready for an Abundance of Spring Festivals Around Houston

Spring weather is approaching and what better way to celebrate the new season than with a local festival! Here’s a look at three upcoming festivals around Houston celebrating art, culture, and Texas.

Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo

From February 25th to March 17th, Houston will be hosting a variety of celebratory events to welcome the annual Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo at NRG Park. Browse through a variety of fun activities including a petting zoo, shopping, food and wine, a carnival, and so much more.

Pre-rodeo festivities will begin on February 15th with the Top Hands Horse Show. Check out the daily schedule here and purchase your tickets online.

Heights Crawfish Festival

On March 2nd, the Greater Heights Area Chamber of Commerce will put on the Heights Crawfish Festival. The parade will begin at 10:00 am and will lead directly to the entrance of the festival. A diverse selection of vendors will await the incoming crowd, including options for shopping, food, beer, and (of course) crawfish.

Don’t miss the Idol of the Heights competition where finalists will compete for a cash prize! Admission is free, but an online RSVP is encouraged.

Bayou City Art Festival

Finally, from March 29th to 31st, the Bayou City Art Festival will populate Memorial Park. Support your local artists and creators while enjoying a plethora of fun activities and fantastic eats.

Hosted by the Art Colony Association, this event will feature Black Market Burritos, Curbside Coonexan, Frieday’s Food Truck, and a Stella Artois truck. Tickets can be purchased at the link above.
