Stretch Your Fitness Routine at Houston’s Yoga Studios

If you’re looking to start a new fitness routine or spice up your existing workout, you’re in luck. Several of Houston’s yoga studios are close to Melia Medical Center. Whether you’ve done yoga before, or you’re a tentative newbie, there’s a studio that’s right for you.

Black Swan Yoga Houston

Black Swan is a heated studio, with the temperature set at 90 degrees. If you don’t have your own mat yet, you can purchase or rent one right there. The schedules are jam-packed at both their White Oak and Kirby locations. Classes are available seven days a week, throughout the day.

Black Swan makes yoga affordable and accessible. They have a unique pay-what-can fee structure, with a suggested donation of $10 to $20.

Chandra Yoga

Chandra Yoga holds classes on Saturday mornings in the studio. All levels are welcome. Mats, blocks, and straps are available if you don’t have your own. You can pay a la carte for classes, or purchase a 5 class pass.

If you’re up for a road trip, Chandra also hosts Yoga on the Beach on Saturday evenings at Galveston Island. If you don’t want to make the one hour drive by yourself, Chandra Yoga arranges a carpool.

Hot Yoga Houston

Lastly, Hot Yoga Houston has been in business for over 20 years. Come ready to sweat because the classes can reach up to 105-degree heat. If you’re nervous about trying hot yoga, the studio offers detailed instructions for hot yoga first-timers.

So, whether you want to pay by the class or go all-in with an unlimited yearly membership, Hot Yoga Houston has pricing that’s right for your budget.

When you live at Melia Medical Center, squeezing in some exercise is not only fun but convenient. In addition to being close to Houston’s yoga studios, we have a fitness center right on site. To learn more information about our community, please contact us.
